Worgam Cookie Policy

The Spanish version (cookie-policy-es.md) prevails in case of discrepancy.

  • Version: 1.0
  • Last updated: 13 April 2026

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing associated with cookies is Jose Manuel Guerrero (Worgam), natural person, Tax ID 71427380Y, based in Leon, Spain. Contact: [email protected].

This Cookie Policy complies with Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE), the GDPR and the Guide on the use of cookies published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), last updated in July 2023.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites and applications store on the user's browser or device. They allow information to be remembered across sessions (e.g., whether the user is logged in), usage to be analysed, and content to be personalised.

Equivalent technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, pixel tags, device identifiers) are covered by this Policy to the extent they enable the storage of or access to information on the user's device.

3. Types of cookies used

In line with the AEPD Guide, cookies used by Worgam are classified as follows:

3.1 By ownership

  • First-party: managed directly by Worgam from the worgam.com domain.
  • Third-party: managed by external providers (e.g., Cloudflare).

3.2 By purpose

  • Strictly necessary / technical: enable basic navigation and core functionality (authentication, anti-abuse, load balancing). Do not require consent under Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE.
  • Analytics / measurement: quantify users and analyse usage in aggregate. Require consent. Worgam does not currently install third-party analytics cookies.
  • Behavioural advertising: not currently used by Worgam.
  • Preferences / personalisation: not currently used by Worgam.

3.3 By duration

  • Session cookies: deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: remain for a set period.

Worgam does not currently install third-party analytics cookies. If analytics tools are added in the future, this section will be updated with the relevant details (exact cookie name, purpose, duration, legal basis and how to exercise consent) before activation.

5. Consent

On first access to worgam.com, a cookie banner is displayed allowing the user to:

  1. Accept all cookies.
  2. Reject all non-strictly-necessary cookies (with the same visibility as "Accept all", in line with the AEPD 2023 Guide).
  3. Configure preferences per category.

The banner does not install non-necessary cookies before consent is given (prior-consent model). Until the user decides, only strictly necessary cookies are installed.

5.1 Withdrawal of consent

The user may modify or withdraw their consent at any time:

  • Through the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer.
  • By deleting cookies from their browser settings.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

6. How to manage or disable cookies from the browser

In addition to Worgam's preference centre, cookies can be blocked or deleted directly from the browser settings:

Note that disabling all cookies may prevent some Service features (such as authentication) from working.

7. International transfers

Some third-party cookies (e.g., Cloudflare) may involve the processing of data outside the European Economic Area. Please refer to Section 5 of the Worgam Privacy Policy for information on the applicable safeguards.

8. Updates

Worgam may update this Cookie Policy to reflect regulatory or tooling changes. Users are encouraged to review it periodically. The current version is always available at https://worgam.com/cookies.

9. Contact

Questions regarding this Policy may be addressed to [email protected].
